Introduction by Michael Newton

Welcome, gentle travelers of the soul.
In this space beyond time, we open a window into what many fear, misunderstand, or forget:
the journey of the soul between life and light.

For decades, I have guided thousands through deep spiritual regressions.
I have seen that many spirits do not simply “die and depart.”
They hesitate. They linger. They hold on—for love, for guilt, for unfinished stories.

This series is not just for those who have passed.
It is for those who remain.
May these conversations bring clarity to mystery, compassion to fear, and peace to all who seek the way home.

(Note: This is an imaginary conversation, a creative exploration of an idea, and not a real speech or event.)

Why Do Spirits Remain Earthbound?

Moderator: James Van Praagh
Participants: Michael Newton, Amy Allan, Theresa Caputo, Hans Holzer

James Van Praagh:
Welcome, dear friends—both here and beyond.
Today, we gather to discuss a sacred question: Why do some spirits linger while others move on?
Is it grief? Regret? Love left unsaid? Or something deeper?
Let’s open our hearts, and invite the truth in.

Michael Newton:
Thank you, James.
In my regression work, I often saw souls who chose to stay behind temporarily—not out of punishment, but from emotional entanglement.
A mother worried about her child. A soldier still reliving a final moment.
These are not evil spirits, but wounded beings, holding on to what once was.
They’re not trapped by external forces, but by inner confusion and unresolved ties.

Amy Allan:
Yes, exactly.
When I enter homes for investigations, I often meet souls that don't even know they’re dead.
They're stuck in the trauma moment—replaying it like a broken record.
Some of them are afraid to be judged, or feel ashamed.
And others… they’re waiting for permission to go.
They want someone to say, “It’s okay. You can go now.”

James Van Praagh:
That’s beautiful, Amy.
So many people think they need to “fight off” spirits, when often what’s needed is compassion.
Theresa, what do you see when spirits come through during your readings?

Theresa Caputo:
I see unfinished love.
They stay because someone didn’t get to say “I forgive you.”
Or “I’m sorry.” Or even “Thank you.”
They cling to the emotion. And when their loved one on Earth lets go, so do they.
It’s not always dramatic. Sometimes it’s as simple as lighting a candle and whispering,
“I release you with love.”

James Van Praagh:
That resonates so deeply.
Hans, you spent decades researching hauntings. Did your investigations support this emotional view?

Hans Holzer:
Absolutely.
While I approached it from a research angle, I always emphasized:
No ghost is born a ghost.
They’re people. People with history, pain, confusion.
Many spirits remained earthbound because their deaths were sudden, or unjust.
And often, all they needed was acknowledgment.
Someone saying: “I see you. I hear you. You mattered.”
That alone could dissolve centuries of wandering.

James Van Praagh:
Thank you, Hans.
So what we’re seeing is that lingering spirits are often not “lost” in the scary sense—
but unheard, unhealed, unfinished.
They are waiting—for understanding, for resolution, or simply… for love.

Let us close today’s dialogue with one question for each of you:
What can ordinary people do to help these souls find peace?

Michael Newton:
Sit quietly. Speak aloud to them.
Let them know they’re seen. That they’re not forgotten.
That it’s safe to move on.

Amy Allan:
Create space. Burn incense. Ring bells.
Not to exorcise, but to shift the energy gently.
It’s about inviting peace, not forcing it.

Theresa Caputo:
Talk to your loved ones who’ve passed.
Say the words you never said.
That opens the doorway.

Hans Holzer:
Tell their story. Share their name.
Remembering is the first light that guides a soul home.

James Van Praagh (Final Reflection):
To help a soul move on,
sometimes all it takes is a whisper, a candle,
and the courage to say, “I see you. I love you. You are free.”

Thank you for joining us in this sacred conversation.
In the next session, we will discuss:
“The Healing Path: How to Help Spirits Cross Over.”
Until then—may light surround us all, in this world and the next.

The Healing Path – How to Help Spirits Cross Over

Moderator: Dolores Cannon
Participants: Caroline Myss, John Edward, Amy Allan, James Van Praagh

Dolores Cannon:
Welcome, travelers of light.
Today, we walk the healing path—not just for the living, but for those souls still lingering between worlds.
How can we help them cross over into peace?
How can we become bridges of light for others—and maybe, for ourselves?

Caroline, let’s begin with you. You’ve written extensively about energy and the soul.
What makes a soul ready to move on?

Caroline Myss:
A soul moves when its story has been heard.
That may be through ritual, or prayer, or even through the vibration of forgiveness.
But most importantly—it’s about recognition.
When a soul is witnessed—not judged, not feared, but truly seen—it begins to dissolve the pain anchoring it to this plane.

Dolores Cannon:
Beautiful. So acknowledgment is a form of release.
John, when you connect with spirits in your readings, what have they shown you about crossing over?

John Edward:
They show me that love is the tether—and also the key.
Some stay because they’re worried about us.
They think, “I can’t leave my daughter crying like that,” or “Who will take care of him?”
But when the living finally say, “I’ll be okay. You can go,”
that’s when the soul turns toward the light.

Amy Allan:
Yes. I’ve seen that again and again.
One of the most powerful ways to help is through gentle guidance—
a soft voice, a calming energy, a room cleared with intention.
We don’t push them out. We invite them to peace.
Sometimes I just say: “You’re safe now. The pain is over. You can go home.”
And they listen. Because finally, someone’s speaking to them with kindness.

Dolores Cannon:
It sounds like the healing path is not about confrontation… but comfort.
James, from your perspective as a medium, what practical things can people do—right now—to help souls move on?

James Van Praagh:
Start with presence.
Light a candle. Play soft music. Speak aloud to the space.
Say: “Whoever is here, I honor your journey. You are not alone. You are loved.”
That vibration alone is like a lifeboat.
And for loved ones, writing letters, sharing memories, or simply saying “I forgive you”
can dissolve years of unrest.

Dolores Cannon:
Such tenderness in each of your words.
Now, let’s imagine this:
A soul is standing at the edge of light, unsure, afraid, clinging to the past.
Each of you—what would you say in that moment?

Caroline Myss:
I would say: “You are more than your pain. Come back to the truth of who you are.”

John Edward:
I’d whisper: “It’s okay. Your love continues. And now, it’s time for you to receive peace.”

Amy Allan:
I’d say: “The door is open. You’re not forgotten. You’re not trapped. Just step forward.”

James Van Praagh:
I would say: “We bless your journey. You are free. You are light.”

Dolores Cannon (Final Reflection):
And perhaps that is the healing path:
Not grand rituals, but small moments of presence.
Not exorcism, but compassion.
Not fear of death, but faith in what comes after.
Let us be gentle torchbearers—for others and for ourselves.

Thank you, dear ones.
In our next gathering, we will ask:
What Happens After the Crossing? – The Soul’s Journey Beyond Death.

Until then…
May your words bring peace.
May your heart open doors.
And may your light be the path home.

What Happens After the Crossing?

Moderator: Michael Newton
Participants: Dolores Cannon, William Buhlman, Edgar Cayce, Allan Kardec

Michael Newton:
Welcome, dear seekers.
Today, we open a doorway that lies beyond the veil.
We’ve spoken of why souls remain earthbound… how they cross into the light.
Now we ask: What awaits them after the crossing?

Dolores, in your QHHT sessions, you’ve guided many souls into life-between-lives.
What do they show you on the other side?

Dolores Cannon:
They show me a place not bound by time.
There’s no judgment. No fear.
Just learning, healing, remembering.
Some souls go into what I call the “Resting Realms”—quiet gardens of peace,
where they recover from earth’s harsh lessons.

Others enter halls of knowledge, where they meet with soul groups and guides.
They review their past lives,
not to feel guilt,
but to understand the growth behind every experience.

It’s not punishment. It’s progress.

Michael Newton:
Beautifully said.
William, you’ve explored the soul’s journey through out-of-body experiences.
What happens in the early moments after death?

William Buhlman:
There’s often a transitional state.
Many souls first remain near the physical body, unsure or observing.
Then, depending on their frequency—fear or love—they rise into corresponding planes.
Those in harmony enter a realm of gentle light and familiarity.
It feels like “coming home.”

But others may drift into what I call “belief territories”—
places shaped by cultural expectations or unresolved emotions.

The good news?
They’re all temporary.
Every soul is drawn—eventually—back toward unity, once they’re ready to release identity and ego.

Michael Newton:
So even confusion is part of the journey.
Edgar, from your trance sessions, what spiritual principles govern this post-crossing state?

Edgar Cayce:
I was shown that thought is the builder.
On the other side, what we think and feel becomes our environment.
A soul filled with resentment might create its own shadow.
A soul filled with peace creates a field of light.

But it is not eternal damnation.
No soul is lost forever.

With prayer, with intention, with time—
each one is gently reminded: You are loved. You are a child of the Creator.
And with that remembrance,
they rise.

Michael Newton:
What a liberating truth: That no pain is permanent.
Allan Kardec, your Spiritist teachings offered perhaps the earliest structured view of soul progression.
What did the spirits tell you?

Allan Kardec:
That spiritual evolution is law.
The soul passes through many worlds, many forms,
each step refining its light.

After death, the spirit reflects on its life not with guilt—but with longing to improve.
What they often ask is not “Was I perfect?”
But “Did I grow? Did I serve? Did I love?”

The other side is not an end—
It is a return to the true school of the soul.

Michael Newton:
Thank you.
So let us each answer one question before we close:
If you could whisper one truth to every soul after they cross, what would it be?

Dolores Cannon:
“You are safe. Everything made sense the moment you returned here.”

William Buhlman:
“Let go of form. You are not the story—you are the source.”

Edgar Cayce:
“Love created you. Love awaits you. Love is who you are.”

Allan Kardec:
“You are light on a journey toward brighter light.”

Michael Newton (Final Reflection):
Death is not an end.
It is a gentle turning inward—
A return to knowing, to peace, to wholeness.

And perhaps the greatest healing is realizing:
We never left home at all. We simply forgot.

Thank you for walking with us through all three parts of this journey.
May these words serve not only the departed…
But the living who carry questions in their hearts.

Until we meet again—
in the space between breath and eternity.

Final Thoughts by Michael Newton

We began this journey asking why some souls stay behind.
We witnessed how love, memory, and regret become invisible chains.
And we followed the healing path—one lit by acknowledgment, compassion, and the quiet courage to say:
“You are free.”

And beyond that crossing?
There is no judgment—only learning. No punishment—only growth.
The soul returns not to an ending, but to the classroom of light.

I have seen that no spirit is truly lost.
Some simply take the long road home.

And so, dear listener, if there is someone you hold in your heart—living or passed—
Speak to them now.
Love is the bridge. Light is the destination.
