Living in the Miracle Zone
Marci Shimoff (Moderator):
Welcome, everyone! I’m thrilled to have all of you here today to kick off this amazing dialogue about "Your Year of Miracles." Let’s start with our first topic—Living in the Miracle Zone. This is where life just flows, and we feel supported by the universe. To get us started, I want to ask, What does living in the Miracle Zone mean to each of you?
Lisa Nichols:
Marci, for me, living in the Miracle Zone is when I’m no longer forcing outcomes. It’s when I trust that what I’ve prayed for, worked for, and dreamed about is unfolding in divine timing. It’s like standing in gratitude for what I have, even while moving toward more.
Dr. Sue Morter:
Yes, Lisa, I feel the same! The Miracle Zone is an energetic frequency—a state where your body, mind, and soul are fully aligned. It’s when you’re not just surviving but thriving because you’re plugged into the infinite energy of the universe. You feel it in your body, like an inner knowing that life is on your side.
Mike Dooley:
For me, it’s all about mindset. When I’m living in the Miracle Zone, I see every obstacle as an opportunity, and I trust that the universe is conspiring in my favor. My Notes from the Universe always remind people that miracles aren’t just for the chosen few—they’re for anyone who dares to dream and act as though their dreams are inevitable.
Lynne Twist:
I see the Miracle Zone as a space of sufficiency and abundance. When we stop focusing on what we lack and start appreciating what we have, we align ourselves with the flow of miracles. It’s about shifting from scarcity to an awareness of the profound interconnectedness of life.
Lisa Garr:
Oh, I love that, Lynne! For me, it’s also about trust—trusting your intuition and the subtle nudges you get from the universe. When I follow those nudges, even if they don’t make sense at the moment, things just seem to fall into place.
Marci Shimoff:
Such beautiful insights! I love how each of you emphasizes trust, alignment, and gratitude. For our audience, I want you to imagine the last time life felt effortless and magical, where everything just clicked. That’s the Miracle Zone! Now, let me ask, What advice would you give to someone who feels stuck in the "mediocre zone" and wants to shift into the Miracle Zone?
Mike Dooley:
Start small. Even if you’re feeling stuck, take one step toward your dream. The universe responds to action. When you move, it moves too.
Dr. Sue Morter:
And remember, it’s not just about what you do—it’s about who you’re being. Shift your energy first. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and imagine yourself already living in that flow. Energy precedes action.
Lisa Nichols:
Yes! And don’t forget to surround yourself with people who lift you up. Sometimes, being around someone who believes in your dreams when you’re struggling to believe in them yourself can reignite your spark.
Lynne Twist:
Absolutely. And let go of the idea that you have to figure it all out yourself. Surrender is not giving up—it’s making space for miracles to arrive.
Lisa Garr:
And I’d say, pay attention to your intuition. The Miracle Zone is already showing you the next step—you just have to listen.
Marci Shimoff:
Wow, such powerful advice! To everyone listening, remember: miracles aren’t something you create—they’re something you allow. And the Miracle Zone is always available. Thank you all for your beautiful contributions.
The Power of Intention
Marci Shimoff (Moderator):
Thank you, everyone, for sharing your wisdom on the Miracle Zone. Now let’s dive into our second topic—The Power of Intention. We all know that setting intentions is the first step toward creating miracles in our lives. But there’s a big difference between ego-based intentions and soul-based intentions. So, let’s explore that. How do you all approach setting intentions that align with the soul?
Dr. Sue Morter:
I’ll start! For me, soul-based intentions are about tapping into the energy of what you truly want—not from fear or lack, but from love and expansion. When you set an intention, feel it in your body. Ask yourself, “Does this make me feel light and open, or heavy and restricted?” The feeling is your guide.
Lisa Nichols:
Sue, that’s so true! And I’d add that ego-based intentions are often tied to proving something—like, “I need to achieve this so people will see my worth.” Soul-based intentions are about serving yourself and others in the highest way. When I set intentions now, I ask, “How does this align with the highest vision for my life?”
Mike Dooley:
Yes, Lisa! I always say, “Don’t micromanage the details.” The universe knows a million ways to bring your intention to life. Focus on the end result—what you want to feel, what it will look like—and then let the universe handle the how.
Lynne Twist:
I approach intention from a place of sufficiency. Before setting any intention, I spend time reflecting on the blessings I already have. When you come from gratitude, your intentions are naturally soul-aligned because they’re about expanding the good rather than filling a perceived void.
Lisa Garr:
I love that, Lynne. I also think it’s important to check in with your intuition. Soul-based intentions often come as quiet whispers. They’re not loud or urgent like ego-based ones. Trust those whispers—they’re guiding you to what’s truly meant for you.
Marci Shimoff:
Beautifully said, everyone! I love the idea of listening to our inner guidance and focusing on the feeling of the intention. Let’s take it a step further. What’s one practice you recommend to set powerful intentions that truly manifest?
Lisa Nichols:
For me, it’s visualization. Every morning, I close my eyes and visualize myself already living my intention. I see it, feel it, and celebrate it as if it’s already done. That energy magnetizes it into my life.
Dr. Sue Morter:
I recommend embodiment practices. Stand in front of a mirror, look into your eyes, and declare your intention out loud. Feel it resonate in your body. When your energy aligns with your words, you amplify your manifestation power.
Mike Dooley:
I love both of those! I’d add journaling. Write your intention down as if it’s already happened. For example, “I’m so grateful for my new home where I feel peaceful and inspired.” Writing solidifies the intention and sends a clear signal to the universe.
Lynne Twist:
One of my favorite practices is a gratitude prayer. Each evening, I thank the universe not just for what I already have, but for what’s on its way. Gratitude creates a vibration of trust and abundance, which is the perfect environment for miracles.
Lisa Garr:
I agree with all of you! And I’d suggest creating a vision board. Put images, words, and symbols that represent your intentions where you can see them daily. It helps keep your energy aligned with what you’re calling in.
Marci Shimoff:
Such amazing practices! To everyone listening, the key is to make your intention a living, breathing part of your daily life. When you align your energy with your soul’s desires, miracles become inevitable. Thank you all!
Breaking Free from Limiting Patterns
Marci Shimoff (Moderator):
Thank you for the beautiful insights on the power of intention! Now let’s move to a vital part of creating miracles: Breaking Free from Limiting Patterns. So many of us unknowingly carry beliefs, habits, and environments that hold us back. Let’s start with this—What’s a limiting pattern you’ve personally overcome, and how did you do it?
Lisa Nichols:
Oh, I’ll go first! For me, it was the belief that I wasn’t enough. Growing up in South Central Los Angeles, I absorbed so much scarcity thinking. I thought abundance and success were for “other people.” What changed for me was rewriting the narrative. I started telling myself, “It’s my birthright to live a full, abundant life.” Every time self-doubt crept in, I replaced it with that truth.
Dr. Sue Morter:
Lisa, I can relate! For me, it was perfectionism. I used to think that if I could control everything, I’d feel safe. But life doesn’t work that way! I learned to let go by connecting to my body’s energy. When I feel myself slipping into control mode, I pause, breathe, and ground myself. That shift from my head to my heart creates space for miracles to flow.
Mike Dooley:
For me, it was overanalyzing. I’d get stuck trying to figure out every detail, every possibility. But then I realized I was limiting the universe! I shifted by focusing on the big picture—what I wanted to feel—and letting the “how” unfold naturally.
Lynne Twist:
I’ve overcome the pattern of thinking I needed to hold on to things, whether it was possessions, relationships, or old roles in my life. I learned that letting go creates space for new possibilities. Decluttering my physical and emotional space was a powerful first step toward freedom and abundance.
Lisa Garr:
Mine was self-doubt. Even as a broadcaster, I questioned if I was doing enough or saying the right things. The shift happened when I started celebrating small wins instead of waiting for big ones. I realized that even small steps forward are part of a miraculous journey.
Marci Shimoff:
Those are such powerful breakthroughs! For our audience, these stories show that we all face limiting patterns—but they’re not permanent. Now, let me ask, What advice would you give to someone who feels stuck in their limiting patterns?
Lisa Nichols:
Get radically honest with yourself. Ask, “What’s holding me back? Is this belief or habit serving me?” Once you identify it, commit to changing it—one small action at a time.
Dr. Sue Morter:
And don’t forget to get into your body. Patterns often live in your energy field as much as your mind. Try moving, dancing, or even just shaking out old energy to shift your state.
Mike Dooley:
I’d say, start focusing on what’s possible. Even if you’re surrounded by challenges, take a moment to dream bigger. Write down one thing that excites you, even if it feels out of reach right now.
Lynne Twist:
Surround yourself with people who lift you up. Community is so important when breaking free from old patterns. Find a group or a mentor who believes in your potential.
Lisa Garr:
And trust the process. You don’t need to know every step—just commit to the next one. The universe will meet you halfway when you take that first step toward freedom.
Marci Shimoff:
Amazing advice! Breaking free from limiting patterns is the gateway to miracles. Remember, you’re not stuck—you’re just in a transition. Thank you all for your wisdom.
Creating a Supportive Environment
Marci Shimoff (Moderator):
Thank you all for sharing how to break free from limiting patterns. Now let’s dive into our fourth topic—Creating a Supportive Environment. The people and energy around us play a huge role in whether we thrive or feel stuck. So, let me start by asking: How do you personally create an environment that supports your miracles?
Lisa Nichols:
For me, it’s about curating my circle. I surround myself with people who inspire me, challenge me to grow, and celebrate my wins. If someone constantly brings negativity, I lovingly create distance. Your inner circle sets the tone for your energy and your dreams.
Dr. Sue Morter:
I agree, Lisa. I also focus on the energy of my physical space. I make sure my home and workspace are clutter-free and full of things that uplift me. Crystals, plants, and soothing colors are part of my environment because they help me stay grounded and aligned.
Mike Dooley:
Oh, absolutely! For me, it’s all about the vibes. I fill my space with reminders of my dreams—vision boards, inspiring quotes, and even playful objects that spark joy. And I make sure to laugh a lot! Humor shifts the energy and keeps everything light.
Lynne Twist:
I focus on aligning my environment with my values. That means creating a space of sufficiency, where there’s no clutter, no excess—just what I love and need. I also intentionally spend time in nature, which always reminds me of abundance and interconnectedness.
Lisa Garr:
For me, it’s about listening to uplifting content. I play podcasts, music, or meditations that align with my goals and higher self. The energy of what you consume—what you watch, hear, and even think—affects everything around you.
Marci Shimoff:
I love these ideas! It’s clear that your environment, both physical and energetic, is key. Now, let me ask: What advice would you give to someone whose current environment feels draining or unsupportive?
Lisa Nichols:
Start small. Even if you can’t change everything at once, identify one thing you can shift—a toxic relationship, a cluttered room, or a draining habit. One change leads to another.
Dr. Sue Morter:
And remember, you’re in charge of your energy. If you can’t change the people or circumstances immediately, focus on grounding and protecting your energy. Practices like meditation and visualization can help you stay strong even in challenging environments.
Mike Dooley:
I’d suggest finding your “tribe.” Join a group, a class, or a community where people share your vision and values. Even one uplifting connection can transform your experience.
Lynne Twist:
Yes, and I’d add: start with gratitude. Instead of focusing on what’s missing in your environment, notice what’s working. Gratitude creates an expansive energy that naturally attracts more of what you want.
Lisa Garr:
Also, don’t underestimate the power of saying no. Saying no to what drains you is saying yes to what supports you. Boundaries are a form of self-love and protection.
Marci Shimoff:
Wonderful advice! Remember, creating a supportive environment isn’t just about changing what’s outside of you—it’s about nurturing the energy inside of you, too. Thank you all for your incredible insights. Now, let’s wrap up with our final topic...
Embodying Gratitude and Joy
Marci Shimoff (Moderator):
We’ve come to our final topic, and it’s a big one—Embodying Gratitude and Joy. These are two of the most powerful energies for attracting miracles. So, let’s begin with this question: What role do gratitude and joy play in your daily life, and how do you embody them?
Lisa Nichols:
Gratitude is my foundation. Every morning, before my feet hit the floor, I list at least five things I’m grateful for. It sets the tone for my entire day. Joy, for me, comes from finding reasons to smile—even in small moments. It’s the fuel that keeps me going.
Dr. Sue Morter:
I completely agree, Lisa. Gratitude is a high-frequency energy. When I embody it, I feel aligned with the flow of life. I often use my breath to anchor gratitude and joy—breathing in gratitude and exhaling anything that doesn’t serve me. It creates space for miracles to manifest.
Mike Dooley:
For me, gratitude is like planting seeds, and joy is the sunshine that helps them grow. Every night, I write down three things I’m grateful for, no matter how small. And I make time for activities that bring me joy, whether it’s a walk, music, or a silly dance party.
Lynne Twist:
Gratitude is everything. I see it as a practice of acknowledging sufficiency—the truth that we already have everything we need. When you focus on gratitude, you shift from scarcity to abundance, and that opens the door for miracles.
Lisa Garr:
I make gratitude a habit by pausing throughout the day to reflect on what’s going well. Even in stressful moments, I ask, “What’s the gift here?” Joy, for me, is about staying present and savoring the little things—like a warm cup of tea or a great conversation.
Marci Shimoff:
Beautiful answers! I agree wholeheartedly—gratitude and joy are the miracle magnets. Now, for our audience: What practices do you recommend for someone who struggles to feel grateful or joyful, especially during tough times?
Lisa Nichols:
Start small. Gratitude doesn’t have to be grand. If you’re struggling, start by being grateful for the basics—your breath, the roof over your head, or even the sunrise. Let those small gratitudes grow into something bigger.
Dr. Sue Morter:
Focus on your body. Sometimes joy feels out of reach because we’re disconnected from our physical selves. Try smiling intentionally or moving your body in a way that feels good—it can trigger feelings of joy and gratitude naturally.
Mike Dooley:
I’d recommend keeping a gratitude journal. Even if you can only write one thing you’re grateful for each day, it’s a start. Over time, it becomes a habit, and you’ll find more and more to appreciate.
Lynne Twist:
I’d also say, look outward. Acts of service can shift your perspective quickly. When you help someone else, you often find a deep sense of gratitude for what you have.
Lisa Garr:
I love that, Lynne. I’d add: immerse yourself in uplifting content. Listen to music that lifts your spirits, watch a funny video, or read an inspiring story. Joy and gratitude are contagious.
Marci Shimoff:
Such profound wisdom! Gratitude and joy aren’t just emotions—they’re practices that we cultivate daily. To everyone listening, start where you are, and let gratitude and joy grow into the energy that carries you forward. Thank you all for your insights and your hearts. This has been an incredible conversation on creating a miraculous life!
