The Science of Miracles – How Our Energy Shapes Reality

Marci Shimoff:
Welcome, everyone! Today, we’re diving into The Science of Miracles—how our energy, thoughts, and beliefs shape reality. I’m honored to have Dr. Sue Morter, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Gregg Braden, and Dr. Bruce Lipton here. Each of you has contributed groundbreaking insights on this topic, and I’d love to start with this:
What do you think is the biggest scientific breakthrough that helps explain why miracles are not just rare events, but actually a natural part of life?
Dr. Joe Dispenza:
Great question, Marci. What we’re finding through neuroscience is that our brain and body don’t distinguish between an experience that happens in the external world and one that happens in our mind. When we focus on something—whether it’s healing, success, or love—our brain begins to rewire itself as if that event is already happening.
This means miracles aren’t random. They are the byproduct of a conscious shift in how we think and feel. If we repeatedly practice gratitude or visualize a positive outcome, we are literally changing our brain chemistry and, as a result, influencing the field of energy around us.
Dr. Sue Morter:
Exactly, Joe! And that’s where energy medicine and quantum physics come into play. Our bodies are not just physical matter; they are energetic systems that interact with the quantum field. What we call “miracles” often occur when we remove blocks in our energy system, allowing life force to flow freely.
One of the biggest breakthroughs is recognizing that our personal energy signature influences what we attract. We know from bioenergetics that when someone shifts from fear and stress to love and openness, their electromagnetic field expands. This field then interacts with the quantum field, which is where “miracles” manifest.
Gregg Braden:
That’s so true, Sue. What’s fascinating is that ancient spiritual traditions have known this for thousands of years. Science is just now catching up! Studies in heart coherence, for example, show that when we generate feelings of love, compassion, or gratitude, the electromagnetic field of the heart becomes highly organized and measurable.
When a group of people collectively focuses on positive emotions, it affects not just their own lives but the world around them. This was demonstrated in the Global Coherence Initiative, where synchronized meditation lowered crime rates in specific areas. This proves that miracles aren’t just individual experiences—they are part of a collective energy field we all influence.
Dr. Bruce Lipton:
Absolutely, Gregg. And I’d like to add another layer: our beliefs directly influence our biology. The placebo effect is a perfect example of this. If a person believes a sugar pill will heal them, their body responds as if they are receiving real medicine. That’s not just psychological—it’s physiological.
The mind is the master control of our genetic expression. When we live in a state of stress or fear, we suppress our immune system and limit healing. But when we cultivate joy, gratitude, and love, our cells receive that information and respond accordingly. That’s why some people experience spontaneous healing—it’s a shift in perception and energy that triggers biological transformation.
Marci Shimoff:
Wow, this is fascinating! So if miracles are really about shifting our energy and beliefs, what are some practical steps people can take to create miracles in their own lives?
Dr. Sue Morter:
A great starting point is breathwork and energy clearing. Many people hold onto stress in their bodies, blocking their ability to experience miracles. A simple practice like deep, conscious breathing can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, shifting us from survival mode to creation mode.
Dr. Joe Dispenza:
I’d add meditation and visualization. If we want to create miracles, we have to rehearse them in our minds. Every morning, I encourage people to visualize their ideal future and feel the emotions of already living that reality. That primes the brain to rewire itself for new possibilities.
Gregg Braden:
And don’t forget the power of gratitude! One of the fastest ways to shift our energetic field is by focusing on what we’re grateful for. When we expect miracles, we create a resonance that attracts them.
Dr. Bruce Lipton:
I’d also say, watch your language and thoughts. If you constantly say, “I never get lucky” or “Miracles don’t happen to me,” you are programming your subconscious mind to make that true. Instead, affirm daily: “I am open to miracles. I expect miracles.” The more you say it, the more your biology aligns with that belief.
Marci Shimoff:
Such powerful insights! It’s amazing to see how science and spirituality are coming together to explain what many of us have intuitively known—miracles are a natural part of life when we align with them.
Before we close, what’s one final piece of wisdom you’d like to share with someone who’s skeptical about everyday miracles?
Dr. Joe Dispenza:
Start small. Look for synchronicities in your daily life—those little “coincidences” that show up when you least expect them. The more you notice them, the more they appear.
Dr. Sue Morter:
Remember, your energy is your greatest currency. The more you raise your vibration, the more miracles you’ll experience.
Gregg Braden:
Be open to the unknown. Many miracles happen when we release control and trust that the universe has our back.
Dr. Bruce Lipton:
And above all, change your belief system. The moment you believe miracles are real, your biology and reality will start proving you right!
Marci Shimoff:
Thank you all so much! This has been an incredible discussion, and I hope everyone listening walks away knowing that miracles aren’t something we wait for—they’re something we create.
Let’s all commit to expecting miracles every day!
The Role of Gratitude in Experiencing Daily Miracles

Marci Shimoff:
Welcome, everyone! Today, we’re talking about The Role of Gratitude in Experiencing Daily Miracles. We often hear that gratitude is the key to abundance, happiness, and even physical healing. But how exactly does it work?
I have an incredible panel with me: Rhonda Byrne, Pam Grout, Jack Canfield, and the timeless wisdom of Louise Hay. Let’s start with this question:
How does gratitude create miracles in our daily lives?
Rhonda Byrne:
Marci, I love this topic because gratitude is everything. When I wrote The Secret, I realized that one of the most powerful forces behind manifestation is the energy of gratitude. It shifts our frequency instantly.
When we’re grateful, we’re not coming from a place of lack—we’re coming from a place of abundance. That shift sends out a powerful signal to the universe, attracting more to be grateful for.
Pam Grout:
Absolutely, Rhonda! I actually put gratitude to the test in my book E-Squared, where I challenged people to express gratitude for things before they arrived—and guess what? The results were miraculous! People started manifesting free coffee, unexpected checks, and even dream jobs just by feeling grateful as if those things had already happened.
Gratitude works because it rewires our brain to expect good things. And when we expect miracles, they show up.
Jack Canfield:
That’s so true. I’ve worked with thousands of people through Chicken Soup for the Soul and The Success Principles, and the most successful people all have one thing in common: a gratitude practice.
I personally start every morning by listing 10 things I’m grateful for. It sets the tone for my day and keeps my mind focused on what’s working instead of what’s missing.
Gratitude isn’t just a nice idea—it’s a strategy for success. It rewires our subconscious mind to look for opportunities, solutions, and synchronicities, which often appear as miracles.
Marci Shimoff:
That’s a great point, Jack. Many people wake up thinking about what’s wrong or what they don’t have instead of what’s already good in their life. Louise, your work has helped so many people transform their lives through gratitude and affirmations. What are your thoughts?
Louise Hay (in spirit):
Oh, my dear ones, gratitude is one of the most powerful healing forces in the universe!
Every thought we think is creating our future. When we choose gratitude, we tell the universe, I trust you. I know that all is well. This belief shifts everything.
Even in difficult times, there is always something to be grateful for. When we focus on that, we open the door for more good to flow into our lives. It’s like telling life, Yes! Give me more of this goodness!
One of my favorite affirmations is:
"I am grateful for all the miracles unfolding in my life right now."
Say it daily, and watch what happens!
Marci Shimoff:
That’s beautiful, Louise. It’s amazing how gratitude not only changes our mindset but also seems to influence external events.
Let’s talk about the science behind this. What do studies show about the link between gratitude and experiencing more positive outcomes?
Rhonda Byrne:
There’s actually a lot of research now proving what we’ve all known intuitively. Studies from positive psychology show that people who practice gratitude are happier, have better relationships, and even sleep better.
Dr. Robert Emmons, one of the leading researchers on gratitude, found that people who kept a daily gratitude journal experienced higher levels of optimism and life satisfaction. And their physical health improved, too!
Jack Canfield:
Exactly. Gratitude reduces stress and lowers cortisol levels, which affects our immune system and overall well-being. When we’re in a state of gratitude, our nervous system calms down, and our body enters healing mode. That’s why so many people experience miraculous recoveries when they focus on gratitude instead of fear.
Pam Grout:
And don’t forget, gratitude literally changes reality! I encourage people to play the Gratitude Game—wake up every morning and find at least three things to appreciate.
If you can’t think of anything big, start small:
- I’m grateful for the sunlight coming through my window.
- I’m grateful for the fresh air I’m breathing.
- I’m grateful for the warm cup of coffee in my hands.
Once you start, you’ll see more and more things to appreciate. And then, suddenly, the miracles start rolling in!
Marci Shimoff:
I love that. So, let’s get practical: How can someone build a gratitude practice that invites more miracles into their life?
Louise Hay:
Start with affirmations! Say aloud every day:
"I am open to receiving miracles."
"I am grateful for all the blessings in my life."
Even if you don’t fully believe it at first, say it anyway. Your subconscious mind is always listening, and soon it will start making it true.
Rhonda Byrne:
Gratitude journaling is also a game-changer. Write down at least five things you’re grateful for each day. And here’s a tip—write them as if they’ve already happened.
Instead of saying, I hope I get a new job, write:
"I’m so grateful for my amazing new job that I love!"
That way, you’re training your brain to expect the miracle.
Pam Grout:
I love that! Another fun practice is writing a miracle list. Every night, jot down at least one unexpected good thing that happened that day. It could be as small as a stranger smiling at you or as big as getting an unexpected gift.
Over time, you’ll see proof that miracles are happening all the time!
Jack Canfield:
And I’ll add one more: Express your gratitude out loud. Tell people you appreciate them. When you spread gratitude, it multiplies!
Marci Shimoff:
Wow, these are such powerful tools! I love that gratitude isn’t just a concept—it’s a practice that anyone can do.
Before we wrap up, let’s each share one final thought on how gratitude connects us to everyday miracles.
Rhonda Byrne:
Miracles are the universe’s way of saying, “Yes!” to your gratitude. The more you thank life, the more life gives you to be thankful for.
Pam Grout:
If you want a front-row seat to miracles, start by expecting them. Gratitude isn’t just about looking back on what’s good—it’s about anticipating what’s coming next!
Jack Canfield:
The law of attraction is always working, and gratitude is the magnet that pulls in more of what you love. Start today, and you’ll be amazed at what unfolds.
Louise Hay:
Darling ones, life loves you when you love life! Stay grateful, and miracles will become your daily reality.
Marci Shimoff:
This has been an incredible conversation! If there’s one thing to take away, it’s this: Gratitude isn’t just an attitude—it’s a gateway to miracles.
Let’s all commit to making gratitude a daily habit, and let’s watch the magic unfold!
Releasing Resistance – Letting Go to Allow Miracles

Marci Shimoff:
Welcome, everyone! Today, we’re diving into Releasing Resistance – Letting Go to Allow Miracles. So many people try to manifest miracles but feel stuck because they’re unknowingly resisting what they desire.
I have a powerful group with me today—Michael Singer, Eckhart Tolle, Byron Katie, and Gabby Bernstein. To start, let’s explore this:
Why do we resist, and how does letting go open the door to miracles?
Michael Singer:
Resistance comes from attachment. The mind constantly tries to control outcomes, and when things don’t go according to plan, we resist reality. But the universe is always flowing—it’s only our resistance that blocks miracles.
The key is surrender. In The Untethered Soul, I talk about how when we let go of trying to control life, something greater takes over. Miracles aren’t about forcing things—they’re about allowing life to unfold.
Eckhart Tolle:
Yes, Michael. Resistance is really just the ego’s way of keeping us trapped in illusion. The ego says, “This moment isn’t good enough,” and we resist it. But when we resist the now, we cut ourselves off from the flow of life.
The moment we fully accept the present, even if it’s not what we expected, we enter a state of peace. And that peace creates space for miracles.
Byron Katie:
That’s exactly right, Eckhart. What I teach in The Work is that resistance is just a thought. A thought like “This shouldn’t be happening” creates suffering.
But when we question that thought—Is it true? Can I absolutely know it’s true?—we see that resistance is a story we’re telling ourselves. When we let go of that story, we make room for something new—something miraculous.
Gabby Bernstein:
I love this! I teach that surrender is the fastest way to manifest miracles. When we’re holding onto fear, doubt, or control, we block what’s trying to come through. But when we release, we create space for divine guidance.
A practice I love is simply saying, “I choose to see this differently.” That single shift moves us from resistance to openness. And miracles happen when we’re open.
Marci Shimoff:
This is so powerful! We often think we need to do more to manifest miracles, but it sounds like it’s more about undoing—letting go.
What are some practical ways people can release resistance and allow miracles?
Michael Singer:
One simple practice is noticing when resistance arises. When you feel tightness in your chest, or your mind is arguing with reality, pause. Instead of fighting it, say:
"I surrender. I trust life to handle this."
Over time, you’ll notice that when you stop resisting, things often work out even better than you imagined.
Eckhart Tolle:
Yes, and another practice is presence. Resistance only exists in the mind. When we fully enter the present moment—whether through meditation, breathwork, or simply observing nature—resistance dissolves.
Try this: Instead of resisting your current reality, ask, “Can I allow this moment to be exactly as it is?” When you do, you’ll feel an immediate sense of peace.
Byron Katie:
I’d add self-inquiry. The next time you catch yourself resisting, ask:
- Is this thought true?
- Who would I be without this thought?
Most of the time, we realize the resistance is just an illusion. And when we drop it, we feel free. That freedom is where miracles happen.
Gabby Bernstein:
A fun practice I love is turning it over to the universe. If you’re struggling, write down:
"Thank you, Universe, for handling this for me. I trust that something even better is coming."
Then let it go. The key is trust—when you trust, miracles can show up in ways you never expected.
Marci Shimoff:
These are incredible tools! It’s clear that when we let go of control, we align with something greater.
Before we close, what’s one final insight you’d like to share about releasing resistance and allowing miracles?
Michael Singer:
Life is always working for you—if you let it. Stop fighting, and watch the miracles flow.
Eckhart Tolle:
Miracles happen when we fully embrace the present moment. The more we accept, the more we receive.
Byron Katie:
When you question your thoughts, resistance fades. And when resistance fades, miracles appear.
Gabby Bernstein:
Surrender is the ultimate manifesting technique. The more you let go, the more magic you allow in.
Marci Shimoff:
Wow, this conversation has been transformational! If there’s one takeaway, it’s this: Miracles aren’t something we chase—they come naturally when we stop resisting life.
Let’s all commit to letting go and trusting that something beautiful is always unfolding!
Intuition and Divine Guidance – Following Signs and Synchronicities

Marci Shimoff:
Welcome, everyone! Today, we’re exploring a fascinating topic: Intuition and Divine Guidance – Following Signs and Synchronicities. Many people experience moments of perfect timing, meaningful coincidences, or an inner knowing that leads them to exactly what they need. But how do we recognize and trust these signs?
I have a wonderful group with me: intuitive coach Sonia Choquette, spiritual messenger Neale Donald Walsch, oracle expert Colette Baron-Reid, and renowned medium James Van Praagh.
Let’s start with this: What exactly are signs and synchronicities, and why do they happen?
Sonia Choquette:
Signs and synchronicities are the universe’s way of communicating with us. We are always being guided, but most people ignore the signals because they’re too busy thinking logically.
A sign can be anything—a song that plays at the right moment, a stranger saying exactly what you needed to hear, or a series of numbers that keep appearing. These messages are like a divine GPS, nudging us toward our highest path.
Neale Donald Walsch:
That’s beautiful, Sonia. I believe signs and synchronicities are how God speaks to us. In Conversations with God, I shared how we are always in dialogue with the Divine—it's just that most of us don’t realize it.
When we ask for guidance, the universe responds. But often, we expect it to come in a loud, obvious way. Instead, it usually arrives subtly—through an unexpected encounter, a deep gut feeling, or a book falling off a shelf at just the right time.
Colette Baron-Reid:
Yes! And that’s where oracles and intuitive tools come in. Oracle cards, for example, help people tune into these messages more clearly. But ultimately, we all have an inner oracle—our intuition.
Synchronicities happen when our energy aligns with a greater force. If we’re too focused on control or fear, we miss the signs. But when we’re open and trusting, the signs show up constantly.
James Van Praagh:
I love that, Colette! As a medium, I’ve seen how spirit guides, angels, and even loved ones who have passed on communicate through signs.
For example, people often see repeating numbers—1111, 222, 333—or find feathers or coins in unexpected places. These aren’t coincidences. They’re whispers from the spirit world, reminding us that we are loved and supported.
Marci Shimoff:
That’s incredible. I love the idea that we are never alone and that these signs are guiding us.
For those who want to strengthen their ability to recognize and trust these messages, what are some practical ways to become more attuned to signs and synchronicities?
Sonia Choquette:
The first step is slowing down. If you’re rushing through life, distracted by stress, you’ll miss the guidance. Take time every day to be still, breathe, and simply observe.
Also, follow your body’s signals. Your intuition speaks through sensation—if something feels heavy or tight, it’s a no. If it feels light and expansive, it’s a yes.
Neale Donald Walsch:
I’d add: Ask for signs! The universe loves clear requests. Try saying, “Show me a clear sign that I’m on the right path.” Then trust what appears—don’t dismiss it as a coincidence.
Colette Baron-Reid:
Journaling is also a powerful tool. Every night, write down moments of synchronicity you noticed that day. The more you acknowledge them, the more they’ll show up.
Another tip? Play with oracle cards or divination tools. They don’t predict the future, but they help you tune into what’s already happening.
James Van Praagh:
And don’t forget to say thank you! When you notice a sign, acknowledge it: “Thank you, Universe, for this message.” Gratitude strengthens the connection.
One of my favorite exercises is to ask a loved one in spirit for a sign. Say, “Send me a message today.” Then watch for repeating symbols—feathers, birds, even specific songs on the radio. They will find a way to reach you.
Marci Shimoff:
I love all of these suggestions! It’s clear that the more we trust, the more guidance we receive.
Before we wrap up, let’s each share one final piece of wisdom about intuition and following signs.
Sonia Choquette:
Your intuition is your superpower. The more you trust it, the more magic you’ll experience.
Neale Donald Walsch:
God is always speaking. The question is: Are you listening? Pay attention, and the answers will come.
Colette Baron-Reid:
Signs are everywhere—if you open your heart, you’ll never feel lost again.
James Van Praagh:
Your loved ones, your guides, and the universe itself are always guiding you. You are never alone.
Marci Shimoff:
Wow, what a powerful discussion! If there’s one takeaway, it’s this: The universe is always communicating with us. Our job is to slow down, trust, and follow the signs.
Let’s all commit to being more open to intuition and divine guidance every day!
Everyday Miracles – Stories of Transformation and Healing

Marci Shimoff:
Welcome, everyone! Today, we’re diving into a topic that proves miracles aren’t just rare occurrences—they happen every day. Everyday Miracles – Stories of Transformation and Healing.
Many people believe miracles are supernatural events, but they can also be moments of profound healing, unexpected breakthroughs, or inner transformations.
I’m thrilled to be joined by Anita Moorjani, Dr. Bernie Siegel, Caroline Myss, and Lisa Nichols, who have all experienced or witnessed life-changing miracles.
To start, how do you define an everyday miracle?
Anita Moorjani:
For me, miracles are shifts in perception that bring us back to our true selves. My own healing from end-stage cancer was considered miraculous by doctors, but what really happened was that I reconnected with my essence—unconditional love.
We think of miracles as external events, but they really happen inside us. When we let go of fear and align with love, our body and reality respond.
Dr. Bernie Siegel:
That’s so true, Anita. As a surgeon, I’ve seen countless cases where people defied medical odds. The common thread? They believed in something greater than their illness.
Miracles aren’t random—they happen when we remove blocks of fear, stress, and self-doubt. I always tell patients, “Your mind is the most powerful healing tool you have.”
Caroline Myss:
I agree, Bernie. Miracles are often misunderstood because people expect them to be dramatic, like instant healings or divine interventions. But miracles are also subtle shifts in energy.
Every time you forgive someone, let go of a painful past, or listen to your intuition—you’re experiencing a miracle. Miracles happen when we step into divine alignment, even in the smallest ways.
Lisa Nichols:
Yes! And I’d add that miracles are about saying yes to possibilities that fear tells us aren’t possible.
I came from poverty, struggled with self-worth, and could have stayed stuck. But the moment I chose to believe in my potential—miracles started unfolding. My first big speaking opportunity? A total miracle. The doors that opened for me? Divine alignment.
Miracles happen when we take action with faith, even when the odds seem against us.
Marci Shimoff:
That’s so powerful, Lisa! It sounds like a common theme is shifting from fear to trust—whether it’s in health, success, or relationships.
What are some personal stories where you witnessed or experienced an everyday miracle?
Anita Moorjani:
My entire healing journey was a miracle. I was in a coma, my organs shutting down. Doctors told my family I had hours to live.
Yet, in that near-death state, I felt more alive than ever. I realized I was never meant to die—I had just forgotten who I truly was. When I embraced my worth and let go of fear, my body healed rapidly. Within weeks, my tumors disappeared.
That taught me that miracles happen when we remember our divine nature.
Dr. Bernie Siegel:
That’s incredible, Anita! I’ve had patients with similar stories—people given months to live who completely turned their health around.
One woman stands out. She had stage 4 cancer, but she refused to see herself as sick. She visualized herself healed, spent time in nature, and laughed every day. Six months later, her scans were clear.
Doctors called it spontaneous remission, but I call it a miracle of the mind. She chose love over fear, and her body responded.
Caroline Myss:
That’s why I always say: Your biography becomes your biology. The stories we tell ourselves shape our reality.
One client of mine had suffered years of illness. But when she realized she was holding onto anger and resentment, she decided to let it go.
Within weeks, her health improved. Was it supernatural? No. It was a miracle of self-healing. She changed her energy, and her body followed.
Lisa Nichols:
I love that, Caroline! And I’ve seen miracles happen in self-worth and abundance, too.
I remember a woman at one of my events who said, “I’ll never get out of debt. I’m just unlucky.” I told her: “That’s not your truth. That’s a story you’ve believed.”
She shifted her mindset, took inspired action, and within a year, she paid off her debt and started a thriving business.
Her miracle wasn’t about money—it was about realizing she was worthy of abundance.
Marci Shimoff:
Wow! These stories are so inspiring. It shows that miracles aren’t just rare blessings—they are natural outcomes when we align with trust, love, and possibility.
For those who want to invite more miracles into their daily lives, what are some practical steps they can take?
Anita Moorjani:
- Let go of fear. Fear blocks miracles. Ask yourself daily: Am I acting from fear or love?
- Trust your intuition. The more you follow your inner guidance, the more life flows effortlessly.
- Be kind to yourself. Miracles happen in a space of self-love and self-acceptance.
Dr. Bernie Siegel:
- Visualize healing and success. Your body and life respond to the images in your mind.
- Laugh every day. Joy strengthens the immune system and invites miracles.
- Talk to your body with love. Say, “Thank you for healing me.” Your cells listen.
Caroline Myss:
- Let go of past wounds. Holding onto resentment keeps you stuck.
- Stay in present alignment. The more you trust, the more miracles you experience.
- Recognize small miracles. The more you notice them, the more they appear.
Lisa Nichols:
- Say yes before you’re ready. Miracles happen when you step into faith.
- Speak abundance into your life. Your words shape your reality.
- Expect miracles. What you believe, you attract.
Marci Shimoff:
These are such powerful steps! I love that miracles aren’t something we wait for—they’re something we invite in.
Before we close, let’s each share one final thought about how people can shift their mindset to experience more miracles every day.
Anita Moorjani:
You are worthy of miracles, simply because you exist.
Dr. Bernie Siegel:
Love heals. Choose love, and miracles will follow.
Caroline Myss:
Miracles are not extraordinary events—they are natural, everyday occurrences when you live in alignment.
Lisa Nichols:
Say YES to life, and life will say YES to you!
Marci Shimoff:
This has been such a transformational conversation! If there’s one takeaway, it’s this: Miracles are not distant, magical events—they are available to each of us, every single day.
Let’s all commit to opening our hearts, trusting life, and expecting miracles!
